Matthew Roche Trio
The Matthew Roche Trio performs original repertoire that pays tribute to the great jazz tradition of yesteryear while also searching for new musical worlds that strike a balance between complexity and simplicity. Joined by Peter Bouwman on bass and James Milic on drums, the music is spacious, open and direct, and contains swinging and groove based melodies that allow each musician to bring their own personal musical language to the fore. They will be going into the studio next year to record their debut album.
This alternative pop band’s jazz roots have inspired the collectives’ sound as evidenced through their funky beats, pop choruses and jazz harmonies. Lilly Tunley and band are eagerly anticipating the release of their debut single ‘Help Me’ recorded alongside their upcoming EP titled ‘Noticing You’ recorded at Pughouse Studios and engineered by Niko Schauble. Their, playful and honest, seven track debut EP celebrates the nuances of relationships and will be released in early 2016. The band are excited to release their first film clip directed by Dean Lusk (ImgisNothing) to accompany the single and are work-shopping brand new tunes for the upcoming summer season, before setting their sights on touring next year.
